On 27 June, Parliament discussed government proposal for amending the Aliens Act in a referral debate. The purpose of the proposal is to make it easier to manage migrants who have made their way towards Finland. A border procedure could be introduced at the Finnish border in situations of mass influx of migrants or instrumentalization of migration.
At the end of the debate, the matter was referred to the Administration Committee to which the Constitutional Law Committee will submit its statement.
